Look up!
My husband says some crazy stuff sometimes. Recently we were talking with my parents about paint colors for the lake bathroom, and I really liked the idea of painting the ceiling blue and the walls white, not unheard of right? Paul's opinion on the color scheme is "That's just never been done!" in a very taken aback flabbergasted sort of way, apparently he meant it has never been done before in a bathroom, but it has.
I think a painted ceiling can really work as a nice pop of color in a space, or just add that perfect touch. Light ceilings can make a ceiling look taller, and thus a room look larger. Lighter shades tend to work better on textured ceilings, but I do believe a dark colors have their place as well even though most people are scared off by the thought. It is important to remember when you are picking out a ceiling color, the color will appear lighter on the ceiling. So if you are wrapping a color the shade won't look the same on both surfaces.
Some of my favorite blue ceiling rooms to help brighten your Monday!

What do you think, would you paint a ceiling a daring color? Paul and I painted the ceiling at the lake this past weekend, bathroom ceilings are my least favorite. All the items to work around are annoying, but I'm sure a kitchen would be worse.
