Raspberry Cheesecake Fruit Dip
What tastes like dessert and makes everyone want to eat more fruit? This raspberry cheesecake fruit dip.
My mom has been making this dip for as long as I can remember, it is pretty much a staple at Christmas for us. Most people think of fruit dip being a popular item for a cookout in the warmer months, baby or wedding showers, but trust me you need to make this for your holiday party this year. The preferred fruit to eat with this dip for me is grapes, but it goes great with every fruit. But also, on a spoon, plain.
Ingredients:
4 oz. cream cheese
6 oz. raspberry yogurt
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
assorted fruit for dipping
Let cream cheese soften at room temperature. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium until fluffy. Add the yogurt and beat smooth.
That's it you're done, eat and enjoy.
The beauty of this recipe is if you don't like raspberry yogurt, you can switch it out for any other flavor. Vanilla would be delicious, and right now I could go for blueberry as well. Also if you find yourself at home with all the ingredients but the brown sugar, confectioners sugar works as well and you get the same result (I start with 1/2 cup and and sweeten to taste).
Let me know if you try it! It is a family favorite around here.
