Second Trimester || Pregnancy Diaries
We are officially well into the 3rd trimester which means it is time for a 2nd trimester recap!
Baby
Well, she never stops moving and kicking, and rolling, and jumping on my bladder. She is such and active little girl, which terrifies me just a bit.
I started feeling really good kicks around 17 weeks this time, which is much sooner than with Theo. I can even see movement on the outside already.
Pregnancy Side Effects
The vomiting has really slowed down, as well as the bleeding when I brush my teeth. Both really exciting things! I have been having some intense pelvic pain, and was referred to physical therapy and a chiropractor but alas, Covid-19 has put that to a halt. I am dealing with the pain on my own, and I have been finding some relief wearing a support belt, being lightly active and using a pregnancy pillow. Other side effects… I swear my sense of smell is crazy intense, I was never this sensitive with Theo.
Cravings
sour patch kids,cheese balls, ice cream, hot Cheetos.
Aversions
eggs (again) mostly the smell when Paul cooks them (he cooks them
Mama’s Health
At the end of the 2nd trimester I was up 5 pounds total, which isn’t a crazy amount to me. I had a nasty couple days of the flu that made me lose most of the weight I had gained. It took days for me to eat again.
Excited About
We have a growth scan this week, and every 4 weeks just to make sure she is growing. Theo was so small and my weight gain is low, so while I don’t look forward to going to the hospital, I am glad baby girl is being looked after.
Purchases
I bought a doc-a-tot because I wanted one and it was on sale. I also bought her rug, and fabric for her quilts. Other than that, a few clothes for her to mix in with Theo’s. We bought a lot of really great neutral clothes for him, so a few bows and pink things thrown in make his outfits work for her.
